Stacey Solomon never fails when it comes to seasonal arts & crafts!
With Christmas on the horizon, there are two important markers all parents will want to meet.
1) Will it put a smile on their child’s face and 2) Is it cost-effective?
Stacey Solomon has once again dropped an incredible demonstration for a DIY craft that is not only cheap and cheerful, but will make Christmas Day all the more special for the little ones.
The mum-of-five is also planning to make teenage and adult versions with sample sized perfumes and aftershaves, advising followers to ‘always ask for samples’ when doing their Christmas shopping (genius).
Every year, Stacey goes all out to ensure her family home is decked out for the festive season.
The Loose Women panelist is raising five children with her husband Joe Swash; Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle, and she often shares DIY hacks of projects she makes for her children.
Making the crackers can be done with items that are commonly found around the house.
All that’s needed for this cute and seasonal project are a scissors, empty toiler roll holders, wrapping paper, glue, double-sided tape, cracker snappers, as well as a small personalised gift for inside and ribbons for decoration.
Taking to her Instagram account, the ‘Sort Your Life Out’ host shared the super-easy method on how to make these crackers.
The media personality included a toy car inside of Rex’s cracker, a lipgloss inside Rose’s, and a dummy for baby Belle.
Stacey finished by writing her children’s names on each of their individual Christmas crackers in gold pen.
Since the video of her DIY crackers was published, followers have flooded the comments section to say they already do this and passed along gift ideas.
“My aunty puts a scratch card each or lottery ticket in ours every year,” one user wrote.
“My mum passed away in June & b4 she died she told me she wanted specific pieces of her jewellery to go to my adult daughters…I’m making these and putting the jewellery inside! I can’t wait! Tissues at the ready!!!” another shared.
“Im going to make these and add the mini perfumes from my advent!” a third added.
I think we can all admit that the contents of store-bought crackers often have no value or use to the recipient.
This personalised DIY version is a far more special way to keep the Christmas Day tradition alive and is a sure way to spark conversation around the table.
