You know that parent who has the perfect Instagram account?
You know her, she’s the one who takes her time perfecting each shot so that her account is all dreamy, wistful and in perfect hues of *coughs* ‘filtered’.
She is fully made-up, she is pouting and she is in a fab location, wearing the nicest, most on-trend fashion of the moment and she is generally in the sunshine with her perfect-looking kids.
Well, I am not that mum.
I don’t have the time for cake-loads of makeup and I certainly don’t have time to shop for the latest fashions.
I am, what I like to call, a ‘normal’ mum.
My photos have our dog photo-bombing us in the background, or are blurry because someone made a dive for my phone at the last minute.
It’s impossible to get a ‘perfect’ shot and so all of these perfect mums of Instagram are giving me the hump.
But wait, I have an ally! Meet comedian Celeste Barber. Her Instagram page is full of images of the feelings I have when I see one of these polished pics or photoshoots online.
(My feelings are, by the way; ‘I would look ridiculous if I tried that’.)
Well guess what, Celeste HAS tried all of the ridiculous model parent poses for us and I really, really love her for it!
