A young boy who lost his beloved teddy in a US airport had it returned to him in the sweetest way.
Six-year-old Owen Lake was completely distraught when he left his toy tiger, Hobbes, at Tampa International Airport recently, but a member of staff had a better idea than to just leave him in the lost and found department until he was collected.
After his mother, Amanda, called the airport to report the loss, operations manager, Tony D’Auito decided to take Hobbes on a tour of the airport, snapping pics of everywhere they went. He even made a photo book of the adventure, which he left as a surprise for the family to pick up with Hobbes when they returned.
According to a statement released by the airport, Amanda cried when she saw the book. “It was very, very sweet,” she said. “We already told him over and over that Hobbes was on an adventure so it was nice to get back and show him that Hobbes really had been on an adventure.”
