Game changer: a hair straightener you can switch off with your phone exists

Jade Hayden

Sorry, now.

Be honest – how many times in the past month have you turned on your hair straightener, straightened your hair, and then absolutely left the house without turning your straightener off?

Was it once? Was it twice? Was it literally every single time you left the gaff because remembering to turn off devices is a skill that you simply do not possess?

Whatever the answer, accidentally leaving on the straighter and shitting yourself once you realise your mistake is something we have all experienced.

The realisation. The fear. The anxiety. The acceptance that your house has already burned down because you were too distracted rushing out the door while the latest miscellaneous true crime podcast blared in your ears to pay much attention to anything else.

Either that or the wood on your dresser is slightly singed.

Whichever.

Such grievances may soon be a thing of the past for all women (and men with long hair) though, because a hair straightener that you can switch off with your phone now exists – and yes, you can get it in Ireland.

The Glamoriser smart hair straightener uses Bluetooth to connect to your smart phone, meaning that you can switch it off remotely up to 20 minutes after you stop using it.

The straightener also includes personalised heat settings so you can control the exact temperature you need for your exact look, whether it’s a dead straight lock, a soft wave, or an intense curl.

You can also lock the straightener to a specific heat – so if you find a temperature that gave you a particularly fire #look one day, you’ll be able to recreate it no bother at all.

Ideal sitch.

The straightener is currently for sale in Currys for €159.00, which isn’t all that bad considering you’ll never live with chronic I-left-it-on-didn’t-I? fear ever again.

Treat yo’self.
