This bread has just 2 ingredients (and ice cream is one of them!)

Trine Jensen-Burke

This is IT, guys. The easiest bread recipe ever has been revealed. And it is all sorts of amazing.

We bet you (like us) had NO idea you could actually use ice cream for baking. I know; it’s almost too good to be true, right? And yet, it is totally a thing.

So if you are looking for something to do this weekend with the kids, we can pretty much guarantee that this one will go down an absolute treat.

2-ingredient ice cream bread recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cookies & cream ice cream, full fat, not light (look guys, it’s bread made from ice cream. There is no point in trying to be good about this. Full fat is the only way!)
  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • Extra: If you want (and have some handy) smash up some Oreo cookies and sprinkle on top for decor.

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 225°C. Spray an 8″ x 4″ loaf pan with baking spray containing flour and line the bottom with a rectangle of parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together softened ice cream and self-rising flour until all the flour is evenly moistened. Stir in half of the cookie pieces (if you have them). Scrape batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle top with remaining cookie pieces and gently press into the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until a tester inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove from oven and turn bread carefully out of the baking pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.(Recipe via Foodfanatic.com)
