Bargain of the year? The €6 Penneys shoes we’ll be wearing from now until Christmas

Good old Penneys.

It's the most wonderful time of the year - but not for your feet. Christmas party season means getting dolled up, indulging on festive food and booze and hobbling around the street in pain after a night in heels. We always start the night with high hopes for how well we'll cope in our stilettos but bopping around to Wham! and Mariah Carey always means eventual agony for our poor tootsies. That said, we don't want to ever have to forego the height and glam that a pair of heels gives so we're delighted to see that Penneys has a solution to our woes. Remember those roll-up pumps you'd keep in your bag for nights out? They're back. They come in both black and leopard-print and are just €6 in Penneys stores now. Look, they're not the most stylish footwear out there and probably won't last more than a few outings but for the sake of our feet and our sanity, we'll have these bad boys in the handbag for every single night out over Christmas. We'll be feeling very smug when we've something to swap our heels for and if nothing else, we reckon we'll be more likely to get a taxi than the gals wobbling around like baby deer.
