Would you bothered complaining, like?
If you’ve ever gone to a wedding and not at least had at least one questionable thought about the bride’s dress, then you’re lying.
It happens to the best of us at the worst of times – and still, you’re probably not going to go ahead and vocalise these thoughts. And you definitely wouldn’t share them on a parenting forum online.
Except, turns out that some people would.
Grim.
An unknown person on parenting forum Mumsnet said that she recently witnessed a wedding dress that she didn’t quite approve of so she decided to complain about it online.
She wrote that the dress was:
“… so low cut you could actually see part of her nipples. She was bursting out of the dress and it looked about 3 sizes too small.
“It was a church wedding and I feel it was really inappropriate to wear such a dress. A non church wedding would not have been so bad although the dress would still have looked tacky.”
Right.
Unsurprisingly, everybody who replied wasn’t in the market of roasting somebody they didn’t know… and they took it upon themselves to say so.
“It’s her day, I guess she can wear what she wishes,” said one person called ‘Seniorschoolmum.’
“Her wedding, she can wear what ever she likes. I’d hope that in 2018 grown adults aren’t terrified of seeing a bit of nipple,” said a user known only as ‘TopShagger.’
“Bit strange to start a thread about a bride who’s wedding you didn’t attend,” suggested another.
The original poster did not respond to the criticism around the criticism they orginally shared.
It is unlikely that they ever will.
