This stunning hair colour is set to become HUGE this autumn (and it’s inspired by an Instagram filter)

Feel like a little post-summer change, hair-wise?

Yup, us too.

There is something about the change of season that just makes ut want to throw out the old and bring in the new. Like a new, fresh colour for our hair, for instance.

Summer often can take a toll on our locks, especially after a summer like this, with tons of sunshine and swimming, and leave colour faded and strands feeling dry and dull.

And if you are ready to give your hairdresser a call, you might want to hear about the gorgeous new colour-trend predicted to really take off this autumn.

According to Nathan Walker, Trevor Sorbie international technical director, we are going to be seeing a lot of faded peachy and almost pink tones, as well as washed-out greys and purple tones too.

To Popsugar, Walked explains that his clients are asking for “easy maintenance” and bespoke colour conditioners to prolong the life of their dye jobs at home. This is why if your hair is naturally light, shades of pink are great ways to have fun without the commitment.

If this seems a little over the top for you (it does for us, tbh), Kristin Ess, hair stylist to the stars (among them Lauren Conrad), recently created this cool-toned blond with a slight pink tinge for Ashley Tisdale’s hair, and says it was inspired by Instagram’s “rose-filter IRL” – which is easy to see why, as the tone is just as pretty and lovely as the filter makes everything seem.

What do YOU think, guys? Ready for rose-tinted hair?
