The heartbreaking case of Charlie Gard continues today as US President Donald Trump offers to help the terminally ill baby seek treatment in America.
Donald Trump took to Twitter to tell the family of the 10-month-old boy that he was willing to help them, saying:
“If we can help little Charlie Gard, as per our friends in the UK and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.”

It is said that a hospital in the US has offered to treat Charlie at no cost to the family, despite them having raised over £1.3m in donations.
Last week, Charlie’s family’s appeal to take their son to the US for treatment was rejected by the European Court of Human Rights.
