Consumers in Ireland are being advised to bin a specific brand of airplane toy for kids due to a choking hazard posed by the product.

The Competitions and Consumer Protection Commission issued the safety notice this week after identifying an issue with the airplane toy sold on the eBay platform.

Officials warned: “The product presents a risk of choking as the battery compartment on the toy is not secured with a screw.

“If a child were to play with the toy the batteries may fall out and the child may choke on them if ingested.”
