Chrissy Teigen said her son is quite the picky eater

Chrissy Teigen has opened up about her son’s eating habits and admitted he’s quite the fussy eater. Can we blame him though? I’d much rather live off chicken nuggets if I could but you do get to a point when you realise broccoli, smoothies, and actual healthy food do make you feel great.

Teigen’s son Miles has been refusing to eat vegetables, but she’s hopeful he will grow out of it soon.

The mum said her daughter Luna is a great eater, but Miles is the opposite.

She told Jimmy Kimmel: “Luna is the best eater. Luna is amazing, she eats salads and vegetables.

“Miles has still not had a vegetable. His is six, almost,” she revealed.

Chrissy said he was so upset after he accidentally ate a piece of broccoli once.

“He accidentally ate a broccoli floret in a fried rice and was so upset about it,” she revealed.

Teigen said getting your children to eat vegetables can be such a struggle, but they often grow out of the picky eater phase.

She explained why so many children are fussy eaters.

“Eating’s the only thing they [kids] really have control over at this age so he uses it,” Teigen shared.

Being a picky eater is something most children grow out of between ages 4 and 5.

According to Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard, picky eaters are not the result of poor parenting.

“Most picky eating cannot be explained by poor parenting. The proof for that is that many picky eaters have siblings who eat just fine,” she said.

“I let parents know their child probably came into the world with a brain that is just more rigid about trying new foods. I ask parents of picky eaters to allow some compassion for themselves about how frustrating that is.”
