Erin McGregor speaks out after spending tough night in hospital with son Harry

A tough time for the mum and her little boy.

Erin McGregor has opened up about spending the night in hospital with her son this week after the two experienced a "rough evening". Home and well now, Erin and her son Harry had to stay overnight on Thursday after rushing to hospital over the same issue he had had two years ago. Speaking candidly about her son's autism diagnosis, Erin wrote: "We had a rough evening and night last night. The parts of autism I dread and hate… He’s fine. "Tallaght hospital really seem to have great understanding of children with ASD. They just get it, they get how to approach the struggles we face." Erin went on to explain that while she will be online, she won't be active on her social media accounts over the next few days but will be posting pre-recorded things. Sharing a little bit more about her and Harry's hospital visit, she said: "We know what is wrong as we had this problem two years ago and couldn’t get to the bottom of it." They were then sent home but noted that she didn't think the doctor they had seen first "fully understood Harry’s autism" and sent them straight to A&E. She continued: "This never goes away we just know how to manage it but every now and again it flares up. This is why we work so hard on Harry’s gut. "They say the gut is your second brain. But because he can’t tell us, we have to watch everything very carefully to make sure we aren’t missing something sinister."
