The revelation came from Irish Twitter user Mike Mc Loughin, who admitted that for the past 10 years he had been handwashing all of his large dinner plates because they just wouldn't fit in the dishwasher.
Then, one day, he realised that the upper shelf of the dishwasher could be moved and his life was changed forever, probably.
He took to Twitter to share his discovery.

Ten fucking years, indeed.
Mike's revelation wasn't just significant to him either.
As it turns out, a whole load of people also hadn't got a clue that this was possible - about 100,000 of them, to be exact.
My jaw has just dropped and I'm running to my irritating dishwasher!!!!

You see, this is one of the great things about Twitter. Sharing important information. And I am totally serious, not being snarky.
