Oh Boy…Man Refuses To Marry Girlfriend Until She Gets ‘Wife Lessons’

Wow. Just wow. Just when you think Dr Phil's guests can't get any whackier, along come Josh and Rebecca. The couple has been together for over two years. They have one little girl and another baby on the way. Sounds nice, right? Wrong. Josh has a BIG problem with Rebecca. He doesn't think she is 'wife material'. Maybe you should have thought of that before you proposed to her and knocked her up twice, Josh? Rebecca gave us our first alarm bells when she complained to Dr Phil:

"Josh makes me feel bad about myself because I don’t do things his way. He requires me to check in with him before leaving. I feel like a prisoner in my own home.”

But wait, it gets worse. Josh pipes in:

"I love Rebecca. She’s a beautiful woman. I love her size — her height, she’s perfectly proportioned. She’s a strong gal. She can pick up two bags of potatoes instead of one. I wanted Rebecca to have my babies because she’s a very healthy gal. I wanted my daughter to look and be built by Rebecca. Physically, Rebecca is the perfect woman. Mentally, she is not. Once Rebecca learns to be a better wife and mother, I think the sky’s the limit.”

This is the part where we question our own reading skills. Poor old Phil McGraw tries desperately to intervene to help the couple solve their issues.  Rebecca explains:

"Josh thinks I should have a cooking schedule, he tells me how to clean. He is a controlling narcissist"
