Mum furious after daughter’s teacher redoes her hair without consent

The mum was furious at her daughter’s teacher.

Getting your child’s hair done in the morning is one of the most stressful parts of the school rush. They never want to sit still, their hair is always super knotty, and putting it in plaits takes a lifetime.

It takes a lot of time and effort, but we can’t send them to school with unruly hair.

We try our best, but it’s never going to look perfect.

However, one teacher has caused quite a stir online after redoing a pupil’s hair.

Her mum took to Reddit to complain about the incident, which has happened multiple times.

She explained that her little girl has super long and curly hair, but it can be impossible to brush.

To make her life easier, the mum puts her daughter’s hair in braids for school.

However, she’s noticed her daughter’s teacher has been redoing her hair during the school day.

“The first time she redid her hair I brushed it off and didn’t think much of it, probably took it out herself or something,” she said.

However, one day she sent her daughter to school with a ‘messy bun’ because her mum had one.

“She wanted a messy bun like mommy so I did, sent her to school and she came back in braids because ‘teacher said it was messy’.

“I sent her in a braid today, slept in so some hair was out around her face but no big deal and she came home with her hair completely down because ‘let’s get that hair out of your face’.”

The mum was frustrated knowing her daughter’s teacher was touching her hair and felt she crossed a line.

However, her husband said it was no big deal.

“I’m not really sure how I should feel. Any advice? Do I say anything to the teacher? Am I overthinking?” she asked.

Many parents agreed that the teacher was in the wrong, especially if her little girl didn’t ask her.

Others agree that the teacher was doing nothing wrong and was only trying to help the girl.

One mum wrote, “If your daughter is upset about it, you could let the teacher know that your daughter is feeling sensitive about having her hair adjusted – but if she is fine with it, I would just leave it alone.”
