A run-of-the-mill dance recital in Raleigh, USA was blown away by six-year-old Johanna Colón’s homage to Aretha Franklin.

The charismatic girl who is described as “bubbly” and “feisty” by her mother, Elissa Colón, wowed with her diva-like command of the stage.

We also love the supportive shouts from the crowd, including a very proud papa. The video has been viewed an incredible 15 million times since it was posted two days ago though Johanna isn’t letting fame go to her head and is remaining grounded. Her mother told ABC6 news, “She was more excited that today was the last day of school and she was going to have ice cream because she had gotten such a good report card.”

Johanna also takes jazz, ballet and tumbling at a studio near their home in Raleigh, North Carolina. Johanna’s younger brother suffers from Hirschsprung’s disease (a disorder of the abdomen) and needs a great deal of care and attention and big sister, Johanna, is always looking after him. “She’s very sweet and very kind,” Elissa told ABC6 news, which is evident from her performance when she makes sure that all the girls bow together at the end.

Elissa says that dance is an important outlet for her daughter as “She spends a lot of time taking care of her brother and visiting him in the hospital. Dance is where she gets to let loose and enjoy herself.”
