Planning on giving the mum in your life the gift of peace this Mothers Day while you take the kids out?
First of all – YES to your plan, I wholeheartedly approve.
A few hours alone to read a book, have a bath, get to the nail bar (or the BAR-bar) or even just to snooze off that hectic week, is definitely the gift that every Mother will thank you for.
If you’re stuck for things to do with the little ones when you’re out and about, we have compiled a list of the best of activities from around the country for you to take a look at.
All you have to do now is take the credit for organising the best Mothers Day gift that the entire family will enjoy!
Hours literally fly by when you’re at a water park with the kids because there is so much to do to keep them occupied. Bonus round is that the kids will be nicely tired out afterwards so get them home for a big feed and into bed early so that you and mum can have a bit of quiet time!
The weather is warming up so depending on the age of your particular children, you could definitely investigate getting everyone bundled up warm and heading out for a trek, an orientation day or even some zip-lining fun.
We often forget how much there is to see and do right on our doorstep. Remember that the kids have probably not yet seen a real lighthouse up close, explored some caves or visited a cool museum. Take a pick from some of the coolest hotspots in Ireland, pack those sandwiches and off you go.
If you have yet to bring the kids to a Sealife Centre or to visit the Titanic Museum, then here’s your chance. Imagine how jealous mam will be when you all come back and the kids talk about how amazing it was for days and days afterwards?!
Our kids are always fascinated by the animal world, aren’t they? Why not bring them along to see some of our more unusual creatures, for example, at Ireland’s only reptile zoo in Kilkenny?
