Tom Cruise is doing whatever he can to try and see his daughter Suri for the first time in five years.
The Mission Impossible actor hasn’t spent time with his daughter in half a decade due to his commitment to Scientology, but according to reports he’s ready to stop doing what they tell him.
A source told Star magazine that he was finding the situation “heartbreaking.”
They said:
“Tom has reached the breaking point, and something has to give.
“If he wants her back, he’ll have to walk away from the church, which has been a huge part of his life. Leaving Scientology would be the toughest decision he’ll ever have to make.”
They went on to say that the actor had been told he couldn’t see his daughter.
“Tom is a loyal Scientologist, so when church leaders told him he couldn’t see Suri, he didn’t question it.
“But Tom’s tired of being bossed around by them. He’s had to watch from afar as Suri grew into a lovely young lady, and he regrets that he’s missed out on so much. He’s dying to be a part of her life.”
Cruise was criticised recently for his relationship with his daughter.

When he won an award at CinemaCon, many people took to Cruise’s page to congratulate him but some others took the time to criticise him.
“Please do it for your daughter,” wrote one person. “My heart is broke.”
“You should start recognising that you have a daughter, just saying,” said another.
Katie Holmes was granted full custody of 11-year-old Suri when she and Cruise were divorced in 2012.
The pair had been married for over five years.
