There are plenty of things we all do before sending our children off to their first day of school.
Make sure they’ve a decent packed lunch. Cry. Tell them to have a lovely day. Cry.
One thing that we’ve never considered doing is donning a dinosaur costume and walking them to the bus stop but hey, each to their own.
This week, mum Lori Ferrall did just that… and according to her, she actually had a pretty good reason for it too.
In a post shared on Facebook, the mum said she put on the costume to ensure she always had that memory with her daughter.
Which makes sense, actually.
If your mum dresses up as a dinosaur to drop you off to your first day of school, chances are you’re not going to forget that day in a hurry.
And whether that’s a good or a bad thing, we can’t say for sure.
Maybe Lori’s daughter really loves dinosaurs? Maybe she was worried about her first day at big school and this helped to ease her nerves?
Maybe she’s absolutely terrified of dinosaurs and her mum dressing up as one made her forget she was scared about starting school at all?
Either way, as Lori says, the memory is certainly “priceless.”
