Gorgeous, isn't she? If you fancy making one this year too, here's how to do it:
1. Attach a spooky mask of your choice to a black balloon
2. Create a body, arms and legs using black bags filled with items of your choice; towels, foam, plastic bags etc. (the black bags should keep the contents from going to mush if it rains on your creation)
3. Attach the head to its body with any handle from your kitchen - we used a window wiper and some tape which worked out great
4. Fill two latex gloves with muck from the garden, the grubbier they look, the better
5. Use cable ties to fix the head, body, legs and hands to a creepy looking chair (we happened to have a rocking chair in the back garden that had outdoor paint on it, so it's suited to being outside)
6. Drape a black sheet from the top down to cover the black bag body, and shred it with scissors on the neck, sleeves and ankles for added spooky effect. We also used the sheet to give her a hood and cover up the balloon brain we gave her!
7. Make a witch's broom from a brush handle and any twigs or sticks you can find
8. Cover her in fake cobwebs
9. Position her proudly in your front garden
10. Watch as people stop their cars just past your house and then reverse back to get a good look at her. This is called SUCCESS
If you do make this spooky witch, why not send a pic of her in to show us?! You can email it to me at sharyn.hayden@HerFamily.ie
