1 in 6 facing issues with fertility, new report finds

Kat O'Connor

Fertility issues are common with 1 in 6 couples struggling to conceive.

A new report has found that 1 in 6 couples struggle with fertility issues. The study by Pregnacare also found that out of every 100 couples trying for a baby, 80 to 90 will get pregnant within a year. The rest will take longer or may need help to conceive, with 1 in 6 couples facing issues with fertility.

Infertility is also the most common reason for women aged 20-45 to see their GP, after pregnancy itself. However, worldwide studies show that certain nutrients can play an important role in helping to build nutritional stores ready for pregnancy and support good reproductive health.

Pregnacare is the world’s first-ever range for all stages of pregnancy, from conception right through to breastfeeding and into the fourth trimester. With mums every step of the way for over three decades, the Pregnacare range includes Pregnacare Conception for Her, for Him and Her, and Max, as well as Pregnacare through all of pregnancy, (Original, Plus, and Max) and Pregnacare New Mum and Breast-feeding.

A healthy diet is an important part of a healthy lifestyle at any time but is especially vital when pregnant, as nutritional requirements are different from other life stages. A developing baby is completely reliant on the mother for his / her source of nourishment to aid growth and development, and adequate intake of certain nutrients such as folic acid, vitamin B12, and vitamin D are essential to ensure a healthy pregnancy.

Pregnacare’s during pregnancy range has each been specially formulated to support the nutritional needs of mother and baby. The range includes Pregnacare Original, Gummies, Liquid, Plus, and Max. Containing upwards of 17 different vitamins and minerals, as well as additional support of Omega 3 (Max and Plus), this range safeguards the round health, vitality, and well-being of mother and baby over the months of pregnancy.

Not only does Pregnacare have supplements you can take throughout pregnancy, but the range also includes Pregnacare Conception, Pregnacare Conception Max, Pregnacare Breastfeeding, and Pregnacare New Mum.
