‘No nipples coming out’… Every mum can relate to this video about swimsuits

Olivia Hayes

You will be nodding your head in agreement to all of this.

Listen, most of the time, we’re used to dressing our bodies in jumpers and jeans, and will only occasionally show a bit of skin on a night out with the ladies.

So, when it’s holiday time, it’s safe to say that we’re as far away from showing off our bits and bobs.

A video that was created last year by two mams has resurfaced this week because it shows the struggle of having to fit into swimwear while also running around after the kids.

The caption on the video sums it all up perfectly: “When I’m at the beach, I’m there to lifeguard, build sandcastles, supply treats, re-stand the umbrella every dang time it blows over, spray sunscreen, drink a beer, look for seashells, warm-up wet kiddos, force people to eat sandwiches and drink juice, blow up water-wings, and keep my son from publicly urinating.

“Basically, I’ve got a really fun job to do and I don’t have time to let a piece of lycra throw me off my game.”

YES. SO true.

The video tells some honest truths about having to fit into the latest swimwear and that if we could all just wear tops and shorts, we’d be able to “move around, no nipples coming out.”

The video has been shared 190,000 times, so we know that many mothers can relate. And if you haven’t seen it, watch now before you head away on holiday.

The struggle is real for all of us!
