We don’t know about you but the first thing we do when we have a cold or cough is reach for Vicks.
But while the traditional place for you to rub it is your chest, a number of people have taken to rubbing it on their feet (in keeping with the old wives’ tale).
This trick has been around for years and a lot of parents use it when the kids are ill but people are talking about it this week with many taking to Twitter to rave about the results.
We’ve gone mad on Vicks and rubbing it on your feet to cure a cough, I might be daft enough to try it later, my sugar levels bit mad today

The real mvp is the sick human who randomly decided to put Vicks vapour rub on their feet. #lifesaver

All you have to do is slather it onto your feet and put on some socks (preferably ones you don’t mind smelling of Vicks for the rest of time).
Despite the positive reviews of the tip, Dr Ranj Sing told the MailOnline that there is “no evidence to suggest it is more effective to put it on your feet.”
Still, when you’re not feeling well, you’ll try anything!
