Study Finds That Couples Who Share Housework Have More Nooky

HerFamily

A few months ago a study revealed that husbands create an extra seven hours of housework for their partners.

And now another study has found that the impact that housework can have on a relationship is notable, especially in the bedroom.

Research, which is to be published in the Journal of Marriage and Family, found that those who share the household chores have sex more often.

One of the authors of the study, Sharon Sassler, explained that when one partner does the bulk of housework, the couple has less sex.

In general, it was found that there has been a decline in the frequency of sex in relationships but those who are enjoying more sexual activity are those who “adhere to a more egalitarian division of labour”.

In fact, the pairings who share the housework equally have sex 6.8 times per month on average (this is one session more than those where the woman did the bulk of the chores).

If this doesn’t make the other half pull their weight, we don’t know what will!
