Milliner Aoife Harrison is looking for children to design an Easter Bonnet

Melissa Carton

Is your child the next big fashion designer?

Looking for something fun and different to work on with the kids then this might just be the project for you.

Well known Irish milliner Aoife Harrison recently posted that she is running a competition for children design a fabulous Easter Bonnet.

Even better, there isn’t just a prize for the kids but also one for mum too!

Sewing and crafts kit at the ready.

Running up until Easter Sunday the competition is geared towards parents and children looking for something to brighten up their lock down.

Posting on her Facebook page yesterday, Aoife wrote the details of the competition as well as the fantastic prize up for grabs;

“We are all at home at the moment so here is a great activity to keep little ones occupied!
Get your child to draw or make an Easter Bonnet! Any age can enter. Let their imaginations run wild & ask them to design their own Easter Bonnet!
The prize: One of my feather headbands for Mom & a box of Millinery supplies for your little one to create a hat!
Post a picture of their creation on my page! We will announce the winner on Easter Monday!”

Yes that’s right as well as a fantastic box of millinery supplies for the kids, mums will also win a gorgeous handmade headpiece from Aoife Harrison herself.

We might not be going to many functions at the moment but we will down the line and who wouldn’t love a lovely handmade headpiece to wear to a wedding or Ladies Day?

Any children interested in entering can get their parents to post their creations on the Aoife Harrison Facebook page directly.

I’m a big fan of Aoife’s hats and headbands so I’ll definitely be getting creative with the kids this weekend.
