When the weather heats up, nothing cools us down like ice cream.
The thing is, if you, like us, are trying to stick to a somewhat healthy eating regime now that summer is approaching, daily ice creams might not be your wisest food choice, no matter how sunny the weather.
But don’t worry, there is a delicious way to enjoy frozen treats without all the calories. And guess what? These are so easy to make, you can pretty much whip them up in your sleep.
Frozen Banana Popsicles
What you need: Parchment paper, a bunch of bananas, popsicle sticks, semi-sweet chocolate chips and sprinkles.
What you do: Insert the popsicle sticks into the bananas, then melt the chocolate either in the microwave or in a double boiler on your stove top. Once it’s gooey, dip the banana pops into the mixture until they’re coated. Shake on some sprinkles, then place the popsicles on parchment paper and stick the whole thing in the freezer.
And then? Give them about an hour to set. Now you’re ready to chow down your frozen treat, completely guilt-free.
