On a regular Creme Egg, the ingredients list states that you have in your possession a milk chocolate egg. It then cites the ingredients for milk chocolate - milk solids, vegetable fats, and cocoa butter. However, according to Metro (the lads and lasses there already have one of the rare eggs in the office), there is a simple, tell-tale clue on the wrapper of the white chocolate version.... Rather than saying "milk chocolate", it says "white".
And considering if you find one of the white eggs you have the chance to win cash prizes (some white eggs are worth €100, while others are worth €1,000) this observation is quite the game-changer.
Sun.co.uk reached out to Cadbury for a comment and a spokesperson responded with: "All white Cadbury Creme Eggs, whilst wrapped in the same iconic packaging as the classic creme egg, will contain nutritional information that is specific to the white chocolate variant.
So there you have it. The promotion will run across leading Irish stores from January 1 until April 1, 2018.
