Slicing cherry tomatoes individually isn’t exactly difficult, but it IS time-consuming and tedious.
When you’ve got a bunch of the little fellas to chop up, here’s how to do it with minimal time or effort…
What you need: A load of cherry tomatoes (obviously), a sharp knife and two identical plastic lids from storage containers.
What you do: Simply place the tomatoes between the two lids and slice through them in one stroke. (The bottom lid is rim side up; the top lid is rim side down.) If you don’t want to squish the tomatoes, don’t press down on the lid too much.
