So what exactly is a piecaken? Well. Essentially it’s a pie baked to perfection inside a cake, giving you the best of both worlds in every bite. Wrap your brain around that for a second, with the help of this handy picture:

The first piecaken on record was the now legendary Cherpumple, a triple layer cherry, apple and pumpkin pie in a cake, which looked liked this:
The rather inelegant name, in case you were wondering, is inspired by the infamous Turducken (a chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a deboned turkey).
