Hot Chips: Making junk food more convenient since 2015

Katie Mythen-Lynch

Do you find that opportunities to stuff your face full of white carbohydrates are growing scarce?

Are you super bored of super foods? No longer jazzed about juicing?

Well, in news that is as exciting as it is terrifying to fans of processed foods, an Australian company has invented a vending machine that serves up hot chips to order.

And they could be coming to a town (or office block) near you.

The Hot Chips Company prototype cooks pre-fried and frozen chips to a crispy golden finish in just two minutes, dispensing them into a cup at the front of the machine. Or into your open mouth presumably, if you put it there.

According to the company, the thin Bendotti potato fries are cooked in rice bran oil, which “contains antioxidants and has zero cholesterol or trans fats.”

See? In theory you could almost say they’re a health food. Two please.
