2. Shave at the end of your shower
Don't step into the shower and immediately reach for the razor. According to experts, by waiting to the end of your shower to shave, the hot water and steam will slowly open up your pores and cleanse the top layer of your skin. What this means, is that once you start shaving, you’re getting as close as possible to the hair follicles. By washing your body first, you are also making sure there’s absolutely no dead skin, dirt or grime that could be clogging the razor which could eventually dull the blades quicker than normal.
3. Buy a men's razor
They mightn't come in pretty colours, but did you know that the blades in a men’s razor are packed a little tighter than in women’s razors. This is obviously to help men shave off thick and coarse facial hair, meaning that they need razors that are super-powerful.
I often find that men's razors are also better at following contours, so they are a breeze to use around your ankle and knee, giving you the most perfect, smooth shave of your life.
