Of all of the royal wedding dresses we’ve seen this year – and there have been quite a few, TBF – we have to say that Princess Eugenie’s second one is our favourite of all.
Eugenie’s nuptials may have been slightly outshone by those of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but we reckon Eugenie won in the wedding-day style stakes.
Eugenie one-upped the duchess by turning tradition on its head and wearing a sweeping peach-coloured gown for her evening reception.
Now its designer Zac Posen has given us another look at the dress.
The view of the gown from behind shows that it dipped down in the back to highlight the scars on Eugenie’s back from scoliosis surgery she had aged 12 – just like her first dress did.
“It’s a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this,” the princess said of designing a dress to expose her scars.
“I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it’s really special to stand up for that.”
