We love The Hubes’ style and she does dressed down every bit as well as she works a red carpet look.
With inclement weather forecast for pretty much the whole bank holiday weekend we’re going to be emulating this subtly 70s influenced, vaguely Jane Birkin reminiscent, off-duty look. Love.
Her lightweight trench and scarf are pared back and pleasingly utilitarian while the closed toe mules keep just enough of a hint of Summer. She’s not in denial about the weather, but she’s not sacrificing style for practicality either.
The trench is a total wardrobe hero. It is practical but we don’t hold that against it. Work the trench buttoned up for a preppy kind of androgyny or loosely belted at the waist for insouciant chic.

Charcoal jeans make for a welcome change-up to the matt black variety. They are still slimming and this high-waisted pair will provide great tummy smoothing.

Closed toe mules are a brilliant buy for the tricky transitional period that lasts virtually year round in Ireland. The flash of ankle gives a nice hint of Summer but should weather conditions turn on you the platform heel and closed toe will keep your feet protected.
