The Duchess of Cambridge explained that like most mums, she finds it hard to strike a balance at times.
During a recent podcast appearance, Kate Middleton shared that she often feels guilty for leaving her children to carry our her royal duties.
The Duchess of Cambridge opened up about
"mum guilt" on Giovanna Fletcher's hugely popular podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby.
Kate admitted that she felt nervous prior to the interview.
She told Fletcher that explaining to George, Charlotte and Louis why she is leaving them at home is a "constant challenge".
When asked if she has encountered "mum guilt", Kate said: "Yes absolutely. And anyone who doesn't as a mother is actually lying."
Kate expanded: "[You're] always sort of questioning your own decisions and your own judgments and things like that, and I think that starts from the moment you have a baby."
She continued: "The more people you have around your children who are safe and loving and caring, the better.
"So yeah - it was a real weight off my shoulders that it's not totally my responsibility to do everything, because you know we all have good days, bad days - and you can dilute that with others who aren't on that particular day struggling."
The Duchess also spoke about the importance of stability in a child's life.
"I think it makes such a difference for your child," she said. "Keeping them as constant and happy as possible."
Earlier this month, Kate and Prince William brought
Prince George to watch England play in the European Championship final.
While most fans were delighted to see Prince George enjoying himself with his family, he also received some cruel trolling, which, according to a royal expert, concerned Kate.
Robert Jobson told Sunrise TV in Australia that the couple plan on keeping George out of the limelight as a result.
