She claimed her employer thought of it as any other day despite major weather warnings and cancelled public transport nationwide. However, mum asked Jennifer to take the kids out to get some new shoes and referred to as Monday as a “lovely day”. Em... we're pretty sure all the shops closed?
Jennifer told listeners;
“I said I could do that no problem during the week but today I wasn’t going anywhere with the weather warnings.”Seems pretty fair. Dublin certainly wasn’t hit like other parts of the country but nonetheless, it was strongly advised to stay indoors.
Jennifer said;
“Portmarnock has flooded in the past and there was no leaving or coming. We didn’t know if that was going to happen again. “She said it was unacceptable and that I was being hard to deal with. She said if I wanted good things done to me, then I needed to do good things for her.”Jennifer’s employer proceeded to tell her that it looked as though she was looking for a day off and told her to get out of the house. Jennifer said;
“Some people think that because they’re paying me I should do everything they say.”Jennifer’s mum Claudia also said that she was extremely proud of her daughter for saying no.
“We had the warning, everyone was off the street. Those children were safe at home because Jennifer said no.”
