The CCPC has issued an urgent recall of this cat pillow product
A popular children’s pillow has been recalled after the safety authority found that it poses a serious risk of suffocation.
The notice was issued for a cat pillow plush that was sold on Amazon.
In the statement released by the CPPC, they said that the zip design allows access to a fibrous material used as stuffing for the plushie which a child could then possibly put in their mouth resulting in them suffocating.
They went on to add that it is believed 218 of these pillows have been purchased by Amazon users in Ireland.
The barcodes associated with the recalled products are X001TGYTVN, X001THJX4Z and X001THMVXZ though the brand, model number and batch number of the pillows are unknown.
Any individual who has purchased the plush pillows has been advised to stop using them immediately and keep them away from children.
If they are seeking further solutions, customers can contact Amazon via their user account to see if there are any remedies available for them.
