Calling all pups! Paw Patrol are coming to Dublin

Alison Bough

Hands up who already has the ‘catchy’ theme tune stuck in their head?

If you have any fans of the rescue show at home you’ll be delighted to hear that a live version is coming to Dublin in September. Paw Patrol Live! Race To The Rescue will be on at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from the 8th to the 10th of September and tickets are now on sale.

Based on the hit animated TV series on Nickelodeon Paw Patrol Live! will bring everyone’s favourite pups to the stage for what’s being billed as an action-packed, high-energy, musical adventure. The story will revolve around Mayor Goodway, who is nowhere to be found during the day of the Great Adventure Bay Race. Of course, Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, Skye and the newest pup, Everest, will come to the Mayor’s rescue.

The show’s producers say that the stage show proves that “no job is too big, no pup is too small” and shares lessons for all ages about citizenship, social skills and problem-solving as the characters each use their unique skills and teamwork.

The show will include two acts and an intermission, and incorporates an innovative costume approach that brings the pups to life on stage with their vehicles and packs during the all-important rescue mission. The performance also features up-tempo music and a cleverly written script – a great introduction to live theatre for smallies.

A high-tech video wall will visually transport you and the kids to popular locations from the TV series, like Adventure Bay, The Lookout, Seal Island, Farmer Yumi’s Farm and Jake’s Mountain.

During the show, audience members will also have the opportunity to participate in the adventure and become a part of the PAW Patrol Cheer Team.

We know, all your dreams just came true.
