It looks like a gorgeous trip.

Chelsy Davy is certainly living her best life away from the limelight.

After studying law, the 32-year-old former long-term love of Prince Harry (they dated for almost seven years) founded her own jewellery brand – Aya, which she describes as “authentically African inspired”.

And right now, Chelsy is currently kicking-back on a fabulous festive holiday on the island of Mauritius off the east coast of Africa.

Ms Davy is joined by a gaggle of cute-as-a-button little cousins: Lily; Lara; Emily; Louise, and Eve.

Over the weekend, the Zimbabwe-native was hiking around the Rivière Noire district of the tropical island – getting up early to enjoy the sunrise.

Chelsy was considered ‘The One’ for Prince Harry when the duo dated from 2004 to 2010. He was seemingly eager to settle down with her, but Ms Davy didn’t fancy living in a royal bubble.

The businesswoman has previously called the intense media interest that comes with being a royal-plus-one as “scary”.

Ms Davy also admitted that “couldn’t cope” with the attention.

In the same interview with The Times, she previously spoke about being chased by photographers, explaining: “It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad.”

She added: “I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible.”

Despite the split, Chelsy reckons she’ll always “be good friends” with Harry; she was even invited to William and Kate’s wedding in April 2011.

Chelsy’s mother is Beverley Donald, Miss Rhodesia 1973. Her father, Charles Davy, is a South African safari farmer. She divides her time between Zimbabwe, Zambia, and London.

Of course, Prince Harry recently announced his engagement to US actress Meghan Markle. They pair will say ‘I do,’ on May 19 next year.
