Remember the days of being a child and making a Valentine’s Day card for somebody who actually appreciated it?
It was a simpler time – one where your hard work and dedication to the cause was taken seriously, love was real, and arts and crafts were the most exciting thing to have ever happened ever.
Some people who still get to enjoy all of this is Dáithí O’Sé and his son Michael Óg.
The younger lad decided to make his dad a card for Valentine’s Day and it’s very sweet indeed.

Dáithí recently told RTE that himself and Michael have a really close bond and that he misses him a lot when he’s working up in Dublin.
Because of this, the dad makes an extra special effort to see his son in the mornings and at the weekends.
Other times, the pair go off and do their own thing just the two of them.
“We have lads’ days where himself and myself just go away for the day,” he said. “We have fierce craic and he’s an easy-going fella, you can bring him anywhere.”
