Irish Mum Creates a Positive and Fun Way of Getting Kids To Behave

HerFamily

Finding it hard to discipline your kids? Or maybe you just want to introduce some sort of reward system in the home? Either way, The Butterfly Spy could be the way to go.

Irish mum Jane Wherity came up with the concept three years ago, when she was finding it tough managing her three boys.

The book and accompanying spy card help to give children direction and allow them to earn rewards with good behaviour and positive reinforcement, such as going to bed on time or tidying up their toys.

Speaking about the inspiration behind her idea, Jane told us: “The boys had gotten wallets and were excited to put everything and anything into them. Then the idea of their own reward card came to me.

“I thought that it would be great to create a card that Max could bring to school and get a star or not. The playschool teacher loved it and encouraged me to develop it further.”

She added: “The Butterfly Spy is so unique and focuses on a particular challenging behaviour to overcome through imagination, fun and positive reinforcement. My boys love it and it works really well every time.

“There is nothing like it on the market. The only product similar is Elf on the Shelf and it’s based solely around the month of December.”

The Butterfly Spy is available exclusively at the website (check it out here) for €14.95. They ship nationwide and delivery usually takes two working days.
