The mum of two posted about the mini project on Instagram Stories yesterday.

January is the time of year when a lot of people are putting a bit of TLC into their homes. When the Christmas decorations come down it’s often a good opportunity to have a bit of a spring clean and a refresh.

And home renovations need not break the bank. Places like Penneys, TK Maxx and H&M home have affordable rugs, lamps, bed linen and ornaments that will give your space a new feel.

We love a good home hack and Stacey Solomon gave us a great idea to reinvent furniture when she showed a bit of upcycling on her Instagram Stories.

Stacey said she bought a pink footstool earlier that day along with some jewelled buttons that her and youngest son Leighton would use to add a bit of glamour.

“So I bought a pouffe today, and me and Leighton are going to bejazzle it and make it look really pretty,” Stacey said in an Instagram video. “I bought some little buttons that I’m going to put into these little holes, and hopefully… so much better right?!”

Six-year-old Leighton was on hand with a glue gun, using glitter glue to secure the sparkly buttons. After all their hard work, Joe Swash kindly cooked Stacey and Leighton dinner.

Stacey and Joe recently moved in together and celebrated their first Christmas in the new home.
