There is a brand new limited edition collection at H&M – and it’s a summery dream

H&M Conscious Exclusive collection

Come on, summer.

This, more so than any year previous, I think we all long for summer to arrive.

And just to get us feeling all the summer vibes, H&M has just released their limited edition Conscious Exclusive collection, where the designers admit to having been inspired by France’s Côte d’Azur in the 1920s.

Think elegant, summer-ready printed dresses and gowns, and some seriously French-striped pieces that can easily become summer staples.

Even better? The collection utilized recycled materials and leftover stock fabrics from previous collections to create new from old – in other words; a green and very sustainable collection in every way.

“The team has doubled down on fabric composition, alongside utilizing dyeing methods that come with less environmental impacts—we used a natural dye made from coffee grounds collected from H&M’s own production offices,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative adviser at H&M.

“We are committed to a truly holistic approach to sustainability, as well as to creating special pieces that will last a lifetime.”

The vibe?

“We were inspired by Le Train Bleu, and the decadent creatives such as Jean Cocteau and Pablo Picasso hanging out at Villa Santo Sospir in Cap Ferrat,” Ella Soccorsi, designer at H&M, said via a press release. “We wanted to propose a collection that played to that decadent, carefree time but also contained enduring designs our customers will love wearing daily.”
