Apply dry shampoo the night before (instead of when you get up in the morning)

Trine Jensen-Burke

OK, so let’s all agree that as busy ladies with busy lives, we all rely rather heavily on dry shampoo when it comes to giving our hair a much-needed refresh here on days where there is no hope on having time to actually wash it.

But when it comes to making the most of those spritzes, ladies, it turns out how and – maybe, more importantly, when – you apply your dry shampoo is pretty important.

According to experts, there is a secret trick for making your dry shampoo work even harder (and making your hair look even better):

dry shampoo

Are you ready? Apply your dry shampoo before you go to bed (and not when you get up in the morning). Wait, what?! Go to sleep with dry shampoo in your hair?

Yes, apparently so. The reason being that applying it before hitting your pillow at night gives the powdery potion a chance to really work at soaking up excess oil overnight, meaning your hair will look fresher come morning, and there will be less residue left in your hair. (Oh, and you can totally keep hitting ‘snooze’ for an extra ten minutes now too!)

Great looking hair with minimal effort? Here we come!
