What is FlopsyShop and how it can save you a fortune in children’s clothes

Melissa Carton

Sometimes it feels like my kids have only worn their clothes once before they grow out of them.

Our kids are constantly growing, which means that their wardrobe constantly needs updating which can end up being quite costly.

Being a mum of two I’m always on the lookout for a way to keep my kids in clothes that fit without putting myself in the poor house.

That’s when I discovered FlopsyShop and their great initiative to help parents save themselves a few quid while also being eco-friendly.

FlopsyShop is run by mum Lisa and sells good quality second-hand clothes, consigned by other parents.

A couple of months ago I packed up some of my children’s clothes that they had gotten too big for and sent them to Lisa for appraisal.

Lisa picked out the clothes that she wanted to sell on the site and drop the rest back to me. The clothes she did keep earned me a €25 voucher for the site which I used to buy my daughter some clothes for our upcoming holiday.

I picked her up a few bits which were a mix of different brands and styles but my favourite piece has to be this patterned dress from Monsoon.

FlopsyShop sells clothes from ages newborn to six years and delivers all across Ireland. There is also ten per cent off all first-time orders.

Their stock is regularly updated and sometimes may even include some vintage one of a kind gems!

I think this service is an absolutely great idea and am looking forward to seeing what comes onto their online store next.
