Flight attendant reveals what to do if your baby is crying on a flight

Kat O'Connor

A flight attendant has revealed how to make travelling with a baby easier.

Travelling is stressful enough, but add a baby into the mix and it becomes even tougher. Flying can be an incredibly overwhelming experience, especially when you have the entire family in tow.

Trying to find ways to keep your kids entertained for hours isn’t easy, but a flight attendant has revealed how to keep them calm.

“The first thing that you need to do is just accept the fact that your baby might cry on the plane and it is what it is,” he said.

The flight attendant explained that what’s even more annoying than a crying baby is someone who keeps giving out about the crying baby.

Babies cry and there isn’t a lot we can do about it, unfortunately.

“I’ve heard it so many times that I’m honestly like tone-deaf to crying babies and I feel like people who are on planes a lot probably feel the same way.”

“I would suggest just getting to the airport with an absurd amount of extra time.

“That way if security has to go through your strollers, all your bags and everything you’re not gonna be stressed out about being late.”

Another thing that will help is bringing toys they are familiar with from home.

The flight attendant also told parents to stock up on their child’s favourite snacks.

It’s also important to remember that babies cry and it isn’t a reflection of your parenting.
