Introducing The 37 Calorie Chocolate Brownie (We’re Not Joking!)

Katie Mythen-Lynch

It’s Friday baby, and you know what that means: it’s time to let your hair down.

Though we might be three weeks into our 30 Day Bikini Body Blitz here at HerFamily HQ, we are not immune to the lure of the weekend treat. Our trick is to prep for it long before the craving hits and a tray of these 37 calorie brownies is just the thing to have on hand.

INGREDIENTS

  • ¾ cup fat free Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup skim milk
  • ½ cup Cocoa (or Cacao) powder
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup stevia or sweetener that pours like sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a square baking dish (8″x8″). Combine all ingredients into a food processor or a blender, and blend until smooth (about 1 minute). Pour into the prepared dish and bake for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 9 large squares.
Optional: You could add chocolate chips to the batter, just to live dangerously. This brings the calorie count up to about 65 calories per brownie.
