Protect: Next, you need to protect the wound from dirt and bacteria so that it has the chance to heal undisturbed. Cover the wound with a plaster or dressing.
Heal: Lastly, you can help the wound to heal faster and with a lower risk of scarring by applying a wound healing ointment regularly, in between daily plaster changes, until the wound has healed completely.
In the current situation, it’s crucial to make sure that all wounds, even superficial ones, are healed as well as possible to prevent any unnecessary trips to the doctor or the hospital.
