Really?

If there’s one thing celebrity mothers can’t do, it’s share photos of their children on social media.

Like, they absolutely can, but when they do they’re almost guaranteed an onslaught of people calling them bad parents, questioning why they dressed their children that way, and generally just telling them they’re no good.

Yeah. It’s tough being a mum sometimes.

The latest celebrity to get some hate for doing literally nothing wrong is Jessica Simpson.

The singer and actor recently shared a photo of her six-year-old daughter, Maxwell Drew, enjoying her birthday.

Maxwell can be seen standing in front of a load of balloons dressed in a matching hoodie and tracksuit bottoms.

Jessica captioned the photo: ‘SIX’ and included the hashtag ‘MaxiDrew’… because that’s her age and that’s her name.

Standard.

While most people left comments congratulating the six-year-old on turning six and Jessica on picking out some fine amount of balloons, others took issue with the photo.

According to them, Maxwell Drew looked “too old” for her age and Jessica should “stop” making her look that way.

Right.

“Why make ur baby post like that!” shouted one user. “She’s not a teenager yet!”

“Stop teaching young girls to pose, she is a child,” said another.

One person even went so far as to say: “She’s six, not 17. Ridiculous. Let her be a child.”

Now, correct us if we’re wrong but we literally cannot see any reason why a photo like this would piss people off.

Like, no reason whatsoever.

Maxwell Drew doesn’t look 17 at all, she looks six… because she’s six.

And genuinely, so what if she’s posing for a photo? There’s a photo being taken after all.

She’s gotta show off all her balloons, guys. Calm down.
