10 adorable Mommy & Me matching Halloween costumes

Katie Mythen-Lynch

Brought to you by MiWadi.

One of the best things about having children is being invited to relive your most magical childhood memories again and again with every season.

The best occasion to release your inner child? Halloween; when all you need is a cool costume to impress every kiddo (and grown-up) in the neighbourhood.

Our advice? Knock as many of these out of the park as you can before your little darling turns into a too-cool-for-school tween.

1. Harry Potter and Dobby: We don’t know which part of this Halloween duo is the cutest.

2. Avocado Mama: Baby on the way? Craft yourself a hipster avocado costume.

3. Stick family: All you need is a white outfit, some styrofoam and a roll of black duct tape to make these eye-catching costumes. The best bit? Your stick family can be as big as you like so enlist Granny and Grandad too!

4. Star Wars: Release your inner Princess Laya and enlist a Storm Trooper, a Darth Vader and a Yoda to rule on Halloween night.

5. The Hangover: Bearded daddy? Check. Sunglasses? Check. Add in one happy baby in a sling and you’re good to go.

6. Despicable Me 2: With some craft scissors and a little imagination, any family can fashion a DIY Gru nose for daddy. Add a Minion or two and a Lucy Wilde and you’re all set.

7. Morticia and Wednesday Adams: Sure, they might not be old enough to see the movies yet, but your little monsters will love this Adams Family tribute.

8. Mother of Dragons: If you love Halloween as much as you love Game of Thrones, this TV inspired costume is right up your street.

9. Monkey and banana: It just doesn’t get more adorable than this double act of tiny monkey holding tight to a huge snack.

10. Russian nesting dolls: Get your entire brood involved in this adorable family effort with some simple make-up, floral aprons and a red head scarf.
