We’ll skip dessert; just pass the gin.

Weighing up whether to have something sweet or just another drink after dinner? Well, worry no more.

The two have been combined in a delicious-sounding alcoholic beverage that we’re dying to get our hands on.

Say hello to Baked Apple and Salted Caramel gin.

The stuff sounds like pure comfort food in a glass; “Syrupy sweet throughout with a faint Himalayan sea salt bite. Apple strudels dominate the palate, followed by a succulent soft toffee finish.”

We’re seriously feeling the branding and cute corked glass bottle too, which we reckon would make this the perfect present for gin lovers with a sweet tooth.

As it’s technically a gin liqueur, it’s slightly less boozy than your usual gin with an alcohol content of 25 per cent. Given the flavour, though, we reckon we’re OK with that.

This tipple is the brainchild of independent distillery Poetic Licence, which is based in Sunderland in the north of England.

It retails for £19.95 in the UK but we couldn’t find a physical stockist for Poetic License in Ireland.

Luckily, online drinks retailer Master Of Malt ships to Ireland and is selling the gin for €23.07.

We’ve also gotten in touch we the brand to find out what the craic is so if we hear of any real-life shops where you can buy it, we’ll let you know.
